The Apple Quicktake 100 was the first consumer colour digital camera. i.e. cost less than $1000 and was marketed to consumers, not professionals. It was not an original design but an OEM version of the Kodak DC10 which was also known as the Logitech FotoMan Pixtura. The camera is remarkable for its complete lack lack of functions or controls. But this was way back in 1994 when making a photo appear on your computer screen was indeed a $1000 feat of modern technology. But Apple saw this breakthrough in tech and must have wanted to get onboard. They had a few more versions of the Quicktake which were essentially the same camera but with different software. Then in 1996 they marketed the Fuji DS8 as their Apple Quicktake 200. This was to be the last digicam they made.
